99 Tacoma Prerunner SR5 TRD gear ratio???

    Search "1st gen axle codes."
    It's a number on the data plate on the door jam.
    It contains all the info about the rear end from the factory.
    There's a few threads on here about how to figure it out.

    HOWEVER! YOU'RE IN LUCK!

    BECAUSE I HAPPEN TO HAVE A TOTALLED 99 TACOMA SR5 PRERUNNER 4 CYLINDER AUTOMATIC IN MY YARD!

    And if it helps, the totalled 99 Tacoma SR5 Prerunner 4 cylinder automatic in my yard has a Toyota 8" Standard rear axle and a 4.30 third.

    TRD usually means you have a locker, but I think on the 1st gens, a 4 Cylinder Auto with the TRD package didn't include the rear locker. Just the other junk.
