Break in time?

just installed some new pioneer 6.5" front door speakers and pioneer sterio. how long should i take it easy until i can crank it up with out worrying about blowing them(speakers)?

and how easy should i take it?

If I had to guess, not that long. Today, when I got my sub installed, the shop cranked it for about 15-20 minutes while they were testing it out and tuning it

 

Every speaker is different, but with a factory replacement type speaker I am guessing the surround is not a very stiff rubber. It should break in within a few hours of playing time. It might get a little "better" over the course of the next 10-100 hours (who knows) but it should be safe to play loud very soon.
I would worry more about keeping to signal hitting them free of distortion, as that is more likely to blow the speaker than you somehow destroying the surround on a speaker with 2-4mm x-max.

and if it helps they are just some pioneers with the tweeters built in.... about 120.00 for the pair
