Ah...thought you had the 700's but that was Andrew's post, they're the same size anyway. I was wondering about the additional 1/2" to 1" added to the back of the housing is all.

yeah mine are very slim. in terms of diameter they are on the larger side but, still thin enough so that depth shouldn't be an issue.

i want to replace my black magics with a set of yellow light force really bad lol.

there is a guy selling a set now that looks awesome and at a great price but, i just spent like 600 dollars to replace my brand new recovery gear and steel line on my winch so i'm shot out at the moment lol.

Change the steel line to dyneema line on the winch. I did and it is one of my happiest mods haha. So nice to work with, no danger of it breaking and cutting someones arm off, very smooth on the hands, no rusting at all, and a good bit stronger than the steel it replaced.

As to the light force not sure it would bit behind the grill like the black magics..they are pretty deep. Have to try it out I guess.

The lightforce 50W HIDs I have are retardedly bright though.

yeah i decided to shop with viking and thor the owner is an awesome guy very smart about this stuff.

i went from 5/16 steel to 3/8th synthetic with tube thimble and van beest hook i also picked up some derlin rollers, a couple of those crazy van beest shackles, a rope splicing kit, and i replaced my warn snatch block with the arb 9k snatch.

lol now the weakest link in my kit is my winch lol. the steel line at least when combined with the arb is not a great choice imo. you can't see how its rolling up at all and you run the risk of sawing through the aluminum connecting rods on the back of the winch. or ripping the winch off completely. i didn't even know that was a possibility lol but when i took my winch off i noticed a little chafing on those connecting rods already.

the synthetic is going to be a thousand times better i can't wait. and viking is awesome man some of the highest quality gear that can be found and excellent guys to deal with.

Sounds great. Ya I love that synth line.

Sometimes I do cable work up at the local ski hill and there are always people in the ditch and I winch em out. Love that line.
