sleek looking bike but looks like a weird riding position. Check out the youtube video on it, just seems like you'd either want to be sitting higher and leaned over more or lower with your feet out in front like a V-rod. Doesn't look comfortable to me but I'd love to try it and find out for sure!

I sat on it and it's very comfortable:drool:. My back felt straight up and down and feet are a little forward, I'd say a little further forward than a sport touring.

The Ducati rep said it was a concept bike from a couple years back that was well received and made it into production.

I've put 5,000 miles on one. One hell of a boulevard monster. The power is overwelming, the ride is nice and comfy...

Choose C but don't consider the truck done. I am in the same boat but I have done a lot with my truck and now it's time to save for the Ducati.

If the choice is between a Ducati Diavel and a Tacoma, there wouldnt even be any hesitation for me. I would hop on the Diavel before someone finished asking me.

Not a big harley fan but as a firefighter sold my 2007 r1 after two summers of responding to bike crashes. So more money for truck!!

I have ridden many Harleys, they are not as bad as many like to say and they are much better now then before (ironically they now use many Japanese parts). BUT for they money you do get alot more bike and reliability from the Japs at a lower cost. I don't think I would ever own one personally but I have nothing against people that do.
I actually got my first Tacoma just to get my race bike to the track (01 GSXR600 at the time), liked it so much that I got rid of the car and made the truck my one 4 wheeled vehicle. Many different bikes have come and gone from the bed of that truck, but that same Tacoma has always stayed; and now that it's gotta go, it will only be replaced by another Tacoma!
As for your options, C as stated is a bad idea. You say
I don't believe in just trying to get the cheaper stuff for now if you really want the nice stuff. Less of what you really want is always better then more of what you aren't really happy with. So if you decide to split the budget between bike and truck, then how about instead of all that decent lift, smaller tires...etc, you get the stuff you want really want from A, but a only little at a time. It's always easier to add as you get the money then it is to replace. A modified C gets my vote

My current garage full disclosure: 1997 Tacoma LX (going away next month), 2012 TRD Sport (on order), 2004 Honda 919 (commuter and out about town bike) 2007 Kawasaki ZX-6R (race and track bike), 1995 Honda F3 (spare track bike, beater, little whore, so much fun, and overall source of amusement), 2008 GSXR750 (in the process of making it a full on track bike for the GF, a little at a time as the money gets saved up)

I see what you are saying, I would never sell myself short on cheap parts for my truck I would do it right regardless of what lift option I go for however what I was aiming at is not go all out and make the truck bullet proof on the trail with all the body armor, largest tires, new better ofset wheels, snorkel, etc etc.

Same here! Hadn't had a truck in years, then got into track riding and primarily picked up the Tacoma for bringing the bike to the track.

I would want a bike comfortable in on the long stretches of highway and nimble enough to take some turns.
That describes my ride >> Yamaha FJR 1300 sport touring class. I have over 50000 KM's on mine i've ridden coast to coast, done like 12 and 13 hour days lots of power. Just another option, something to look at.Its tough sometimes to make a decision.Harleys have their place, that place is not in my garage though my 2Cents

Harley is PIF and customized to how I ride. I could of had the truck done if the wife would stop getting speeding tickets.
