Hello all, New to TW, Just bought a 09 tacoma DC TRD Sport pkg. I am looking at getting a viper 5901 installed. Someone quoted me 400 for the unit, the bypass and the install, does that sound like a good deal? what have you guys payed for it?

If anyone in SoCal knows of someone or if you can install let me know asap.

    Thanks

    Just enough, and never enough
it only sounds like a good deal if they are a reputable audio shop. make sure they are an authorized viper installer too for the warranties. before they do it make sure you know that they are going to do a clean job and not make a rats nest out of the inside of your dash. just my .02

That's a very good deal but like RedruM29 said if they do a poor install you will regret not having spent more. With an alarm the effectiveness has a LOT to do with the quality of the install.

The hardware is only a portion of the cost, find out what labor is.

Thats not a bad price at all. Where I work that unit, installed, is going to run close to $500 (when we finally get them). The Viper 5701 is already $409 installed. That doesn't include the bypass module thats another $70.
