Has anyone bought anything from aj richies.com? They sell mostly photo and video stuff their prices are really low. For instance you can get the rebel t2i for almost a hundred dollars cheaper than Amazon.

I would check them out. resellerratings.com or the like.

Generally speaking, if a price is that much lower, there's a catch.

Thanks for that site. I went there and am still iffy about this company. Some gave rave reviews others gave very poor reviews. One person reviewed them concerning the exact camera I am looking for and they were told it was always on backorder even though the website says shipping in one or two days..I wish Amazon priced matched.

I just want your guys opinion. I am a newbie when it comes to photography. I have the 18-55mm lens that came with my Canon Rebel and bought a telezoom 55-200mm(I believe) over the summer. I was looking at the 18-200 or 18-135mm lens and can't decide which one is better since I don't know much about lens. Thoughts? Opinions? Recommendations?

    http://www.amazon.com/Canon-18-135m...2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1326629538&sr=1-2

I was leaning more towards this one..

    http://www.amazon.com/Tamron-AF-18-...2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1326629879&sr=1-2

    http://www.amazon.com/Sigma-18-200m...3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1326629879&sr=1-3

Or should I stick to what I got for now? I feel like the 18-55 can't get much range and the 55-200 is over kill and don't want to carry 2 lens at all times.

    Thanks!

Generally, "all in one" lenses don't do the entire focal length well. There's usually a sweet spot that they work best in--read the reviews on dpreview.com.

Go back a few pages (or search in the thread). There are a couple folks who've bought short-to-longish zooms recently. I want to say the Sigma but I'm too lazy to look :) The sample pictures looked good and folks seem happy.

As far as buying goes. B&H Photo, Adorama and Amazon are all good places to buy. Tallyn's is another independent that is reliable. Often the cheap places will either not have what you want, be very late shipping the wrong thing, just not ship your stuff, offer the lower price only after you agree to buy something that's over priced (like buying a cheap body and an expensive crap lens) or charging an absurd amount of money for "insurance" or "shipping". The list goes on.

Another place you can look places up is bizrate.com. Even cnet.com offers some info.

    Good luck.

    I like the first one

Question, I looked at your EXIF data and you are underexposing the images and your shutter speeds look kinda slow. Is there any reason why you are doing that?

I have it set for aperature priority (i think) so it picks the shutter speed and i pick the ISO and Aperature. I'm fairly new at this so i probably didn't notice it was unerexposed when taking it. I should have adjusted the ISO.

I like it, but I think a lower angle looking up to the bike would make this photo really pop

looking at my old stuff on photobucket and flickr it actually doesnt look like much of a difference. I could have sworn that photobucket wasnt good at all though and thats why i made the switch to flickr...maybe they upgraded since then which was over a year ago :notsure:
