I have shot this thing 1000 yards before (NOT at an animal.)

Here is a bullet that I recovered at 900 yards...
It hit about 6 inches left of where I was aiming.

    Ammo for that .30-378 is $130 a box.

That's $6.50 a bullet people, reloading is a must for that rifle.

Reloading is really not that hard once you get it figured out. The hard part is dropping $800 on all the equipment, calipers, powder scale, and a chronograph.

Start saving your brass now if you think you will be reloading some day...

I spent around $3000.00 between that rifle, the scope, and the reloading equipment.

That's pretty impressive considering the bullet drop at 1200 yards is about 35 feet!

You can reload quaility ammo for a fraction of $800.00. You can certainly spend that (and prolly will) but not necessary. What are you burning in that cannon, IMR 7828?

    Hodgdon US 869.

It is "manufactured to U.S. military specifications," whatever that means... People reload for .50cal's with it too...

Yeah its definitely not easy but on that 7 ultra the bullet drop isn't too bad. At 500 yards it only drops 11 inches

Gracias (if you're referring to me)! :p
Recoil on the Browning with BOSS is surprisingly light.
