His friend didn't get a ticket, just sayin...

OP, I'll bet the only reason you got the ticket is because of your buddy. I've also ridden down the road before and as long we were going slow and on the shoulder, we were never bothered. It was also the idiots racing down the street or pulling wheelies that got snagged.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
As mentioned, go to court before your deadline. Talk to the judge and be very polite. Explain how sorry you are and never will do that again. Also mention to the judge your intentions of being a medic. They will most likely give you an option to make sure your life opportunities are not wasted.

Good luck, but I wouldn't sweat it.

Opps, just read the rest of the thread. Glad it all worked out.

I really wouldn't say he ditched me...just miscommunication.

He was ahead of me by about 100 yards and he though I was following him when he started to run.

The biggest reason being that he went in the wrong trail and I thought he was fucking himself, because instead of going into the trail home he went down someones dirt driveway  But he found his way home...somehow.

To tell the truth, if there was only the one cop behind me instead of two, I would have hauled ass, because once we crossed the road I realized where we were, and I knew exactly how to get home on a trail about 200 yards away.

It just kills me, because we ended up on the road because we got lost and we were low on fuel.

I never ride on the road because I dont want to deal with BS.

There are assholes that ride up and down the roads doing wheelies and shit, tapping out their huge 700cc four wheelers at 60-70 mph weaving between cars and NEVER get caught...and as soon as I need to use the road to get home, putting down the road at like 5mph, a cop is there..
