Hey, guys. I'm new to the forum, and need some help. I just put some new black ATX crawls with 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my PreRunner, but two tire shops are telling me they can't hook up their alignment rigs without scratching the rims. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You need to go to an alingment shop form this decade. There are pleanty systems out there that have wheel sensors that will not scratch the wheels. I go to a friend at a Brakemasters with a brand new laser alingment machine. He has aligned my tacoma my C6 Z06 and My Evo all with out a scratch.

what they might be talking about is the heads have clamps that may scratch the lip of your wheel, hunter has a sensor that clamps to the tire maybe some shop around you has these?

Thanks guys. I guess the shops around here use the same system. Tuffy and two Goodyear shops told me the same thing, but I finally found a Big T tire shop that said he uses a magnetic? Sensor that won't scratch. He says it's actually and older method. We'll see.
