Looking at getting a bed extender for my DCSB - one that could fold up versus one that flips over. Not a lot to choose from but found this one from Topline - BX4004-02. Only four screws in the tailgate. Anyone have any experience with this model or could recommend a similar one? The black one would be a nice contract to my silver Taco.

No money, all went to truck...
I like the idea! Be cool to hear from anyone that has it...

    2 concerns looking at pictures
    1. the bracket that get screwed on looks dangerous and might get in the way loading and unloading stuff. I'd hate to kick or fall on the bracket.

    2. will the bracket screw onto the composite tailgate and be solid?

Winch, front hitch, step bars, bed extender, bed step, gull-wing toolbox, tailgate lock, security system, cb radio, etc.
Interesting, but I still prefer my OEM flip-over style bed extender. One note to OP. Do remember your silver Taco will be more black than silver, when viewed from the rear, when the tailgate is down. In that environment, typical shiny aluminum might look better.

You might be right about the color.

I need to do some research on how the brackets get bolted on the tailgate. I'm not sure how far the brackets will stick up from the surface of the tailgate. I might need to find a way to be able to remove the brackets if necessary but not with a toggle screw taht comes with the unit. Maybe a recessed expansion bolt assembly where the base can remain in the tailgate and I can remove the screw bolt.
