I have a 2008 TRD Off-Road, 6-Speed. Just rolled over 50,000 miles last night. This morning the gears are nearly impossible to change. If I pump the clutch they shift easier. It also feels like the clutch is engaging way too soon.

What do you think? Clutch? Syncros? Up until today I've never had an issue with the transmission.

check you fluid level. I had a similar thing happen on my older pathfinder. master cylinder cracked and and was leaking a little so it wasnt making any real pressure...as a result when I pushed the clutch in, it was only disengaging the clutch halfway which causes the gears to be incredibly hard to shift. See if you can move the shifter easily between gears without the engine running...if so check the master and slave cylinder

As I was driving it to the shop the clutch totally burned out and slipped. So I ended up having to get towed. I looks like it was not fully engaging/disengaging, and that caused the clutch to burn out. The mechanic found a TSB for the broken clutch spring and thinks that must be it. Now I have to fight with toyota to have them fix it. I've been calling non stop and nobody is answering or returning my calls. What a bunch of a-holes.
