I'm thinking of buying a stereo for my DC, doing it with a local shop. I'm not able to do it myself.

They're talking about Alpine HU, amp, speakers, kits, and install for about $1100. I think they said 123 HU, front components, amp was a small one to fit in the dash somewhere. It also has the kit for steering wheel controls included.

    Sound fair?

    Thanks!

I'd buy all the components myself then take it somewhere to install their markup on their products is likely high and you'll probably get better equipment for your moola

Without knowing exactly what will be installed it is hard to say whether or not it is a good deal. Alpine offers component speakers ranging from $50-400, etc. Let us know the part numbers and we will be happy to help. Alternatively, if you trust them enough to do the work, you may want to trust them enough to quote you honestly.

Also, it sounds like the amp is simply the Alpine KTP-445. Nothing wrong with that, but if I was paying for someone to install my system for me, I would have them do better than that.
