    Ha shit.

Another thing I'm getting at is that IF the potential burglar is reading this (and chances are slim, judging by the information in this thread) they could be thinking one of two things:

    1) Shit, this guy know's something. This house is too big a risk.

    2) Now I know all his plans; I'm one step ahead of him. Piece of cake (for an experienced burglar)

Get those battery operated window alarms, sorry I don't know the name. They are screwed/stuck to the window and frame, if the window is lifted open the connection is broken and a damn loud whistle starts screaming, get some security lights, and invest in those cameras. Ask your neighbor to take pictures the next time, keep the cops aware, also inform her to call them if she sees these people again.

I'm an advocate of protecting my home, anyone entering my home without my permission is perceived to be a threat to myself and my family, after that the lord can sort out the details.

This truck is a work truck - not a lot of fancy mod's here, but it's getting the job done!
My personal thoughts to this - and I've put some time into it with the areas I've lived in...

Remember their goal is to get in, take your stuff, get out.

Use defense to slow them down in getting in - reinforced locks, doors, windows, etc

Taking your stuff - have alarms, flashing lights - stuff that will piss your neighbors off big time - you want them to call the cops for noise disturbance, even if its the middle of the day = rushing the thieves to leave quickly

Getting out - no straight lines to the exit - narrow doors to make it harder to get through, self closing gates, doors, etc

UNLESS YOU'RE CHUCK NORRIS, Blockade yourself inside a safe room, call the cops and cock your shotgun and wait it out. Tell the dispatcher whats going on, that you have no intention of shooting anyone unless they come through that door... Your TV is expensive, your life and your families life is priceless, irreplaceable, etc. Don't go all JOE SWAT unless you are JOE SWAT - the guys breaking into your home have less to lose than you do - don't get cocky. Let insurance replace your stuff.

Me, I AM Chuck Norris - my other truck is a lifted dodge ram with a roll bar and my roundhouse kick is so swift, the sonic boom alone will knock you out - I dont do this unless I have to, because replacing my neighbors windows is expensive. LOL

Don't forget to cite this story below:

There is that recent story where the girl was at home with her kids when some guys tried to break in - she asked if she was allowed to shoot and was given the go-ahead!
