Progressive speaks to the spring rate. The linear spring gains strength the more you compress them on a straight line scale (every inch you compress it, they'll gain XXX lbs). A progressive spring will begin soft but the more you compress it, it gains strength faster (may gain 500 # the first inch, then 800 # for the second inch). Progressive springs are supposedly better for absorbing smaller bumps because hey are intially soft.

The price from Wheelers would be for the pair of AAL's. I purchased the Icon 3-leaf progressive AAL from Downsouth Motorsports which I'm told is similar to the one Wheelers sells, just made by different companies. They are expensive but they also come with new u-bolts and centering pins.

The progressive AAL does squat quite a bit initially, but does support weight pretty well. I left the factory overload leaf in place with my set-up so I gained an extra 1/2" of lift and also better support for towing/hauling (for more flex, Icon recommends you remove the overload leaf but it is perfectly safe to leave it in place if desired).

thanks again Pugga for your knowledge! Thats actually a better explanation than what wheelers gave me lol

in hindsight this would've been a better idea, but i already have the adjustable 5100's in place unfortunately. Still undecided whether i'm going Eibachs and no rear lift or 884's and rear lift.

All the front 5100's are adjustable. I'm assuming you mean collar and top nut adjustable vs. lock ring and seat adjustable.

actually thinking now that I may do the first option but go with the OME 884's up front instead of Eibachs. Currently the rear of my truck is about 1-1.25 inches higher than the back w/ the 5100's in front @ .85." So if i added the Eibachs i'd still be .25-.5" lower in the rear which i guess isn't noticeable but i'd be dead level with the 884's. Only reservation is that the 884's may give me more than advertised. I just don't want to risk vibes and even if i did 884's and a 1.5" AAL i'd still have the rake of a 3/4 ton super duty truck haha. Thanks to everyone tho (especially this guy ^^^ haha) for all the help...

get the free TSB with an alignment adds about an inch then settles to about 1/2" and Eibachs up front...I have heard putting OME coils on billies voids the warranty...putting Eibachs does not void warranty. Just my 2cents anyone can chime in on the warranty issue maybe just a rumor. You cant beat a free rear lift..just got haggle a little bit....ride quality didnt change for me in a dbl cab. you will have a very silght rake w rear being a hair higher with bilsteins set at 0 and eibachs...hope it helps lots a choices

well i'm unfamiliar w/ warranty info myself, but since neither Eibach or OME are owned by Toyota, i doubt either will be beneficial to my warranty haha. Thanks for the heads up tho. I'm leaning going toward the OME 884's and an AAL w/ rear OME shocks. Should be ordering sometime this week, just need to bite the bullet and go with it lol

No i am in the same boat ...must of changed my order a couple of times due to reading multiple threads and multiple opinions finally just put it ono hold...these things are a wealth of knowledge but can overwhelm sometimes too. like I said I did get the rear tsb leaf pack which gave me an extra inch in the rear but people say it settles..guess we'll see.

So now I am roughly 2.5 inches higher in the rear...factory is 1.5" higher...if u have a 2wd dbl cab like me from what I have read anything below 2"s in the front w/ a tsb will look great keeping a slight factory rake. I am looking to def. get 5100's in rear and for the front either the toytec coilover (2.25-3" lift) or 5100's front/eibachs set to 0 w/ 1/4" tp spacer = 1.75
will be able to fit a 265/75/16 m/t no problem 32" tire

Why the obsession with vibes? If you have vibes your rear axle is at the wrong angle. You measure the angle and fix it with a shim... what is the big deal?

Get 885s get the progressive add a leaf. $150 is for both add a leafs.

ya or i could throw out my diff bearing in the front and have to pay hundreds to a thousand (if its not covered under warranty) that i don't have. I understand about the rear vibes being much easier to cure tho w/ shims or cb drop, which i plan on ordering...
