i certainly did. but fyi you need the resistors even if you use normal 194/164 bulbs because they still pull less resistance than the original 1157 blinker bulbs.

    heres pics of them on

what happens when you need to replace the parking/turn light? Do you have to just pull out the socket and then reseal it with silicone?

I still say following Beau's write up is best. No hyperblink and you get corner lights on with the fogs. Great mod no matter what way you do it though.

Yeah, but it shouldn't be a big deal since you won't be doing this several times a year or anything like that. I did it this way to stay away from the hyper blink and I think it looks better.

Here is my finished product...The only hard part for me was grinding out the wholes wide and flat enough so that the new socket was seated flat in the light. I was afraid that if it got to close to the plastic it would discolor it.

Not sure if it was the correct thing to do, but after the install the headlights were losing a fair amount of power resulting in a dim headlight. To fix that issue I replaced the standard 10amp fuse with a 15 or 20 amp fuse. Anything I should be aware of in fixing the issue this way?

I used the recommeded bulbs stated in the write up, outside of replacing the 1157's with 1157A's for the amber glow instead of the white glow.

Major props to Beau02!!! Thanks a ton, man!

Quick question for anyone who's done this mod: how well do the 1157's or 1157A's actually cut the fog? I know that a lot of "fog lights" stock or aftermarket, don't really do anything but look cool; I'm looking to get something that does the trick.

And what about changing lenses? I've seen a lot of people saying the stock lenses arent able to support such intense heat.

Anybody able to speak to this?

    Thanks!

Ive got one question. I disabled my daylight running lights(by cutting the wire inside the cab under the dash) so my parking lights dont run. anyone know how to get just the parking lights to run without the dlr?

i saw this thread and was bored so i gave it a go. i didnt like the silicone/new socket way so i brainstormed my own way. i had a set of square headlights from my ae86 laying around that had what they called city lights installed in them. its a rubber grommet socket that takes a wedge bulb, same as the existing one in the corner lamps. so i ran the blinker wires to the corner, the corner wires to the blinker lamp, then t-tapped the new bulb into the parking light wires. so i have the same outcome with the only difference that i now have 2 small bulbs in the corner housing. looks great, easy to swap bulbs when there out and i dont mind the faster blinking, as long as it blinks. i just ended up doin it this way cuzz i had everything already so no money was spent.

I did this mod today. First I must say thank you for doing the detailed instructions. I followed the directions exactly minus the silicone part but everything turned out awesome!!! And my blinker flash normally. No hyper blink. Thanks again.
