    Hello there everyone!

I just recently purchased a used 2010 Tacoma SR5 4x4. The previous owner had put an 8" ProComp lift and all-around ProComp Suspension on the truck. She drives beautifully and there is very little road noise considering that there are 35" Mickey Thompson tires on her. I haven't had a chance yet to take the truck off-road, but that is soon to come. The drivetrain is completely stock. I am going from driving a 1973 Datsun 240Z with an SR20det turbo that I've gotten up to well over 160mph and done a lot of auto-cross events with, to driving this new lifted Tacoma, so it is quite a change for me. Right now, though, a truck is just a lot more practical. And to be honest, I rather like the slower, more relaxed pace.

    Hey there JoeTacoma02,

Now that you mention it, I don't think it is an 8" lift. I posted some more pics, so maybe by looking at it you can help me out. It's probably a 6" lift. The dealer didn't give me any paperwork or receipts for the aftermarket stuff that's been done. I'm gonna have to do the research myself. Oh...and I work on Area 21/Del Mar of Camp Pendleton...right by the beach. I've got about 4 months left and I'm done with the Corps. That'll be 8 years, and that's enough for me! I'll talk to you soon.

    -Steve

:notsure: Not sure about the lift. I know for sure it is a 6" lift but with the coils cranked who know how high it is. Looks nice though.

Del Mar? Nice! I was over in the 53 area/Camp Horno with 1st Mar Regt Hq Co Comm Plt. I did my 4 and got out December of '10. Plans after you get out? I kind of miss it there in socal

    Joetacoma02 -

That's cool you were in Horno! That's way the fuck out there though! Too far to drive for me! I prefer being right by the beach. I've been in for 7.5 years and I'm about to get out in 3-4 months on a med-sep board. I'm gonna stay local when I get out and go to Palomar College for Woodworking and Carpentry. I don't doubt that you miss it here! SoCal is a pretty amazing place! I have family up in Medford, OR and Vancouver, WA though....so I might migrate up there at some point after I'm done with school here. Good to hear from you man!
