I've got an xd9 service and I lve it. I'll be picking up a Springfield range officer 1911 tomorrow. I also have a Walter p22. That is a wicked fun gun and it's stupid cheap to shoot.

I have many handguns in many calibers. My favorite is a S&W model 686 7-shot 6.5 inch barrel .357 magnum revolver. Powerful and a joy to shoot.

You think Mass gun laws are tight come to Canada....
Look guys I'm not trying to stir the pot here...but I cant believe you guys can go buy a handgun to keep in the truck for protection...is it really that bad?
Cripes I cant even buy one without doing what the Gov calls a Restricted Firearms course, then I have to keep it under lock and key. Can only have it in my possession when going to the range to target shoot.
All guns for that matter have to be kept locked when not in use. :):)

    A) first and foremost it is our right as American citizens to keep and bear arms

    B) it isn't that bad MOST of the time, but there are people out there who will do harm to innocent people for their property...I and many others here refuse to be victims

    C) storing a gun in your truck is just bad practice...I fully believe any firearm NOT in use/being carried should be kept in a safe

its not bad...its just common sense to have tools to defend yourself and loved ones....but youre also a British subject because the queen(even though you have a prime minister etc he is dependent upon her will) is your sovereign...we told the crown to GTFO.....

I agree is our right to possess weapons but its a natural right to any human that is inherent in our humanity....esp Canadians because the Magna Carta specifically enumerates a right to arms and our legal system is based on english common law till we declared independence(except for Lousiana which is based on Napoleonic law)

I agree there its bad to keep a gun in the car/truck etc but there are sometimes you just gotta because legislators put up imaginary boundaries where you can either ignore the law(and suffer the consequences if caught) or leave it in the car. A few years ago Georgia had more restrictive gun laws about where you can carry and where you couldnt because we had an extremely vague public gather clause that was a 140+ year old Jim Crow law to disarm men of color...we dont even have unlicensed open carry here in GA we are in the same boat as states like Maryland etc....even cali(had) unlicensed open carry

ITs not the laws persay or the process for obtaining a LTC. you have to do the class and file you paper work like anywhere else. Im fine with courses.

What is bogus is the state laws for guns allowed to be sold. The gun company must donate 5 pistols and a ton of money to be "tested". for each and every model of pistol they want to sell. The process is such a pain alot of companys just dont bother (springfield and kimber for example) 99% of them would pass if they bothered. So the comsumers are limited by who pays off the state to sell their products thats what i find bullshit.

and it is...this is actually the point of the interstate commerce clause....the federal government should step in and force the state to allow people to sell their goods....but the government thinks to regulate( means to make regular)interstate commerce means they can ban things when it actually means the exact opposite...

What's even worse is what you have to go through in Massachusets to fight a parking ticket.
