Damn that sucks! But now you know lol

Truth. The more you pay for your car, the more likely the repair bill is going to go up with it.

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
It is a great car, we got an outstanding deal on it, couldn't pass it up. The maint costs are more than her last p.o.s. chevy blazer, but she loves it. It is really fun to drive as well, you wouldn't think a station wagon would be speedy and agile, but this one is great. One of the air ride suspension bags went out, had to replace that for $200........but i did it in the driveway myself, no problems since.

My uncle has a A4 and he loves it (it is at Stage 1 now and he is working towards making is a Stage 3). Audi makes a great car no doubt about it but what I meant is that basic maintenance costs go up when the price tag does lol

I learned about Edmunds.com from this site and it definetly helped me be more prepared when I went to the dealership. They tried to lowball me on my trade in and jack the price up on the new one and after getting their numbers, I showed them mine. Ended up getting what I wanted for my trade in and a real good price for the new truck. Without this site I would have never been as prepared. Hope this helps.

In Jacksonville one of my local Toyota dealers wanted near $600 to buy and install Bilstein 5100s, just on the front of of the truck.

I've heard people be quoted $1,200 for the temp gauge replacement, when all it needed is some sodering.

I knew a kid in high school who paid $50 a tire for instal (stock size) on an F150 at a dealership.
