    For driving in the desert there are a few thing you need before you get a winch.

    1. A shovel
    2. Good tires
    3. Deflator tools and a way to reinflate
    4. Sand ladders can be made cheaply or bought expensively.

    You are right A-Jax. I'm usually out prospecting so there's always a shovel and pick. Tires?...Soon. Always have a 12v compressor with me and my last adventure needing something in the sand involved sacrificing 2 lawn chairs.
    Gosh I love 2 wheelin' where the 4 wheelers go.
