waterproofing hella 500 hids, suggestions please

so i installed hella 500 hids last week and they were running good, only thing i dont like about them is tht they take like a minute to fully light up. but anyways i was washing my truck and after one of my lights didnt work. one of the ballistics blew out so the guy i got it from is sending me a new one

bbut i want to make sure this doesnt happen again because i go though water alot when offroading and i want to be sure my lights are protected, so any suggestions?

all i kno is its a slim hid ballistic ^^ i mounted it under my mounting bracket for my light
