Can't Get My Hands On A Glock 21 Gen4

Nowhere near me has them in stock. I don't have a ton of experience with pistols so I won't have a preference (or baseline) of what I like. I am an averaged sized guy with averaged sized hands so it should work fine right?

After doing extensive research that's the one I like. What do I do?

i had to go with the small frame 21.

 

i have a standard G20 and a SF 21, i like the SF better, screw the 4th gens they're nothing but problems i have all 3rd gens, zero malfunctions

 

Looking at a Glock 21 gen3 SF vs non-SF.... will that be a sufficent comparison or do I need the gen4?

Also, the Gen4 has adjustable backstraps. When I talked to Glock Customer Service I was told the Gen4 comes at the same size as a G21 SF Gen3. It can then be made to a standard G21 with the adjustable backstraps.
