will a 2 inch lift affect power?

Hey guys.I'm thinking of getting a 2 inch lift on my truck but am wondering if doing so on a stock tire size will affect mpg or power? Anyone

 

Lift does not effect gas consumption.

Larger, heavier tires do.

 

Lift does negatively effect gas consumption. Larger/heavier tires usually has a greater effect on gas consumption then the lift though.

 

Lift will slightly decease highway driving mpg's do to aerodynamics even if you keep stock tires.

Yes I can vouch for that. I keep very detailed fuel logs and I did experience a 1 mpg highway drop just after doing TSB springs two months ago on a standard cab, 4x4, 4cyl. The TSB springs added an inch and a half to two inch lift on the standard cab.
