Starter Issue Maybe

Hey guys I'm trying to find out if I might be having starter issues. I tried checking the Threads but didn't see any post about this.
I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. When starting it this morning it took a lot longer then normal to start and sounded like it was strugling. Could this be the starting of a starter issue. The temp. this morning was around 45 degrees outside. Looking forward to your response and thanks again for the help in the past.

 

Could be the battery. mine did something like that and i replaced the battery and it fixed the problem. that's a fast & cheap solution if that fixes it.

Take the truck to an Autozone, O'Reilly or similar. They have the testers that will let you know where there is an issue in the system. They will test the battery, alternator output both on the truck (this is a system check) or off the truck if you remove it (actual alternator check) and can tell you if the starter is drawing more current than it should.

Battery needs to be fully charged for an accurate test.

Best way to start and it is free which is always nice.

Quite possible you have a battery that is starting to give up, but then it could be a faulty connection, a draw in the system running the battery a bit low, a faulty alternator, starter with excess draw, poor ground etc.
