virus problems

so im pretty sure my computer has a virus of some sort and i was wondering if anyone knew a free (im extremely cheap) virus remover i could use? i already have malware bytes but it doesn't find anything and im starting to get frustrated with this pos computer

once a virus is there almost impossible to remove unless you know what you're doing i.e. registry stuff, so reformat!

Avast AV is a very good one. Once installed, you can tell it to do a pre-windows scan.

Run full scans. It will take a while, but is better than a quick scan.

Look it up, it will do you good for most issues, and get you clean out of the gate.
After you figuer out whats wrong its not bad to invest in good virus protection, but like anything its comes down to preference. Whats works good for some , might not be good for others. Do some research on what kind of protection you need and go from there.

Update your malwarebytes
download AVG antivirus (FREE).

When your computer is booted up normally, go into start, run, type in msconfig
under general boot in diagnostic startup- reboot PC (don't worry you can change this at anytime)
when it boots it will only load services that are needed to run.
Run your malwayre first,
then update and run avg.

if they don't remove everything, boot your PC into safe mode and run these programs again.

The reason you can't just run them is that most viruses install as a service.. You can't scan them and remove them while the service is running.. so diag mode will disable all that bullshit and give you a shot.
