Yeah it was. Something I have always wondered about what it would be like and I hope I never have to experiance it again.

I am just sore as hell. I am actually about to go to the doc and see what they say. As much as I loved my truck, I am looking at FJ Cruisers at the moment :anonymous:

At least I can still tool around TW lol

Yeah no kidding. Especially since only that one airbag deployed. I don't even think I got touched by the air bag since as soon as I realized what was going to happen I just like pushed myself against my seat with my arms on the wheel. The only mark I had was like a little airbag burn on the inside of my left forearm. I don't even have a bruise from the seat belt.

GO get yourself checked out. It was her fault, her insurance should pay for it all.

I just went and got checked out today at health services on campus. I got some generic pain meds and some muscle relaxers to help me sleep at night. The lady that I hit is insured because I just got a call from Progressive (I am on my parents insurance with State Farm) and she was asking questions about the wreck and what not. I tell you what though, even though I know it was not my fault, the police report will say it wasn't my fault, the witness said it wasn't my fault, but that damn insurance lady sure made me feel like it was my fault lol

    Indeed...

In order of "winning" from lowest to highest...

    Pedestrian
    Bicycle
    Motorcycle
    Car/pickup/SUV
    18 wheeler
    Train
    Welding cart

The last was related to me by a friend who "drives" a Narrow Gauge train.

Don't let the guilty party's insurance representative get you to talking about the accident. Tell them to get the info they need from the police report. Remember that the other party's insurance company is not on your side and will try everything they can legally do not to have to pay you.

That is what they do. They want to find anyway to not pay everything. If they can find you 10% at fault and save 10% they will. Give them very short yet clear answers. Don't elaborate on anything. If they ask a yes or no question, they get a yes or no answer, that's it.

That's what I did. My dad called me before they did and told me they were going to call. I tried my best to give as simple answers as possible but that damned woman had my heart pounding because I knew that if I said something to "incriminate" myself they would use it to their advantage. I won't really know what's gonna happen until Monday at the earliest.

Wow, you never know when it's time for your card to be punched. Glad you're okay, if a little sore.

I'd say for a 65 to 70 MPH impact the truck and car held up amazingly well.

It really is a shitty feeling when they call you. I've had to do it several times in the few accidents i've been in. I had a motorcycle accident that they tried to say i was 50% at fault in. They said i was seen driving erratically up to 15 min prior to the accident (i left class 5 min prior). They completely ignored one of the witness statements that was saying the other woman was 100% at fault. I got my insurance agent involved and he took care of it. I still ended up loosing 10% because of the stupid laws in Iowa. Basically it said i was 10% at fault because i was at the scene.

If you get the feeling that you are getting screwed, get your agent involved. They have a vested interest because if you are at fault, they may have to pay out and they don't want that.

    Yeah no kidding!

OK I will remember this. I will let my dad know tomorrow and see what he says. Our insurance agent has been our agent for YEARS (I am pretty sure before I was born lol) so I think I will be ok.

I honestly don't know what I am gonna do if I end up being put somewhat at fault. I will not be very fucking happy.

don't worry yourself about it. If the police report says she was at fault, then you don't have much to worry about. I know they try to screw you, but in your circumstance, i don't think they have a chance in doing that.

Well at least that's what I think it is going to say. I won't be able to see the report for a few more days but when my dad got there to pick me up the GASP told my dad "You son did nothing wrong". I almost died laughing because I knew I would never hear those words come from a L.E.O again lol

lol. in your situation there wasn't an intersection that you had to worry about traffic lights or stop signs or anything like that. You didn't have to yield right of way. She will probably have a ticket for "failure to yield right of way" and therefore be at fault.

Yeah I remember reading your thread man that shit was nuts. Like I said earlier I already talked to them earlier today and as far as mods go I am trying to take the lift and tires off. Hell I paid $1,200 for my KM2's and the only have 8 thousand miles on them. I want them bitches back lol and I think the sliders I just got are gonna have to stay on the truck :(
