I am installing my tweeters and speaker into my Tacoma. I did the passenger side no problems. Then when I connect the drivers side I have issues. I believe I have connected them the same. What it comes down to is the speakers will only work if I input only the ground wire to the crossover. As soon as I connect the hot wire the speakers go silent. When they work with just the ground it seems like they are working at half power. I dont know what I am missing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had a ground fault. Once I fixed the hot from touching the metal, all was good.
