My truck is running 265/65/R17 currently BUT I found a BAD ASS set of Goodrich A/T tires that are 255/75/R17. How would they affect my truck?????

Well, it might rub, and the OD will be off 4.9%

Try it out. If it rubs, either trim a little but, or get a small lift.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
LT 255/75/17's will fit stock w/ no issues....i ran them on my 09 for about a week before the lift and had no rubbing at full lock to either side...did make the speedo read correct and it made the ODO read slightly slower...EXTENDED WARRANTY!!

Well, it is weird. Everywhere I look, I see tons of the 265/65/R16 but I can not find a GOOD light truck tire in 265/65/R17. I went to Expert tire, Wholesale tire, Appalachian tire, and a couple others. Most tell me that it is near impossible to find above a 4 ply in that size. I tow a lot so I need at least a 6 ply. I mean the 255/75/R17 is only 1/2" difference, right??

u can get an LT in a 265/70/17 which is a little shorter than the 255/75/17....but the 255/75/17 is a full 32" where the stock 265/65 is a 30.5 i think

When changing tires sizes, can't the ECM or whatever be re-programmed to reflect the new tire size?
