I picked up an '08 RC 4x4 SR5 with only 16,XXX miles on it last summer for around $17,xxx...that was Carmax, so you could find even cheaper I'm sure.

toyota trucks last forever. there are several in my family with over 200k on them. I just bought a 03 4x4 double cab with the TRD off road package with 117k miles for $15,200 . I only paid that much because the timing belt was just done and it had new tires/battery/windshield. These trucks run forever when properly maintained. On the other hand, the 2008 colorado that i traded in on the taco had about the same milege and was a huge piece of crap, kept throwing codes and misfiring. Dont make the same mistake i did and buy one of those

I just traded my 2000 in for my 2011 two months ago. I bought it with 4 miles on it and traded it in with 209,8xx. Only thing I ever did to it was new exhaust manifold, new plug wires, changed the plugs twice, original clutch at 183,xxx and drivers wheel bearing at 209,8xx. :D I picked it up from toyota and drove it to another toyota dealer and traded it in. lol As you can see they hold up like nothing else. It still had the original timing chain on it. Mine had no rust and passed the rust inspection. you can't beat a toyota. It boils down to, do you want the smaller or bigger one? :)

That sounds almost exactly like my '94 SR5 that I traded on the '03 Tundra with 225k on it.

Original clutch at 180k (incidentally 2 months after trying to teach SWMBO and the daughter how to drive stick), exhaust manifold cracked somewhere around 60k.
Other than that, just plugs, fluids, belts & hoses (once) and front brakes. Never did change the rear brakes.
