Which TrueTrac fits Tacoma base 2wd??

    Im probably going to be roasted for this, but ive searched and am not able to find what im looking for.

    I have the 2008 tacoma base 2wd auto 2.7 SR5.
    The axle code is A01A
    Im not sure of the spline count!! Can anyone help? I just need to know which truetrac to order, id like to get the right one the first time :rolleyes:

    I have exactly the same question, did you ever figure it out? Specifically, I would like to be able to know the spline count without having to take it apart, but this seems to be mystery information.
    I think maybe the part you cited is not the right one because a01a is a 7.5"?
    I've found information bout the pre-2004 7.5 diffs stating that they were 27 spline. I cant find any reference to spline count after 2004, they're probably the same, but I don't want to buy something based on probably.

    A thing or two...
    2nd gen only have 2 diff options. E-locker and non e-locker. Get the diff for the 8.4" diff and it'll work. The part number listed in the previous post is correct.
