88 4 Runner build.

Hey guys! New to the sire but just wanted to show off a little.
I bought this 88 4 Runner a few months back and ill give you a little time line of how shes been slowly diad in.

bought it like this:
88 4 runner
3.0l - the truck had BRAND new heads on it thats why i bought this truck after looking at about 15 other p.o.s.'s
all new hoses, belts, rad., air filter ext.
5 speed
moon roof
tons of oil leaks
a/c didn't work
was getting about 7 miles a gallon lol
rear window didn't work(go figure)
189,000 mile on it.
pretty clean body there are a few dents, frame and drive train were perfect! with rancho shocks and 33's


took off some gay lights and a few other things and sand blasted and painted the wheels semi black

after spending 3 straight days chacing oil leaks oil pan, rear main, and valve cover gaskets, i started to design a bumper for it.

decided to figure out my mileage issue or issues swapped. Built an intake, cut out the stock air box and dropped in a k&n.(you can see the lip of the intake boot is folded over causing a big air leak and check engine light.)

new intake. also found some other cracked hoses and such. After doing all of that i almost doubled my gas mileage!

had to fix these frigging faded badges!

so i did they turned out bitchen

next was the rear window this was just one of the issues(fried module) after hours of fixing ef'ed up wires and stuff i got EVERYTHING working again

Now onto the fun stuff started gathering part to make her sexier! 99 tacoma rearend with e locker and 4.88's i also picked up a factory front 4.88 front diff as well!

got a btf gusset kit for it!

Total chaos caddy kit w/ co & bp
heavy duty steering.
currently looking for a 3.4 to swap because my dadt runner is feel weak so ima give him my motor and drop in a 3.4 and add a super charger down the line.
deavers and bp out back
finish front bumper
re-do rear bumper
air pump, tank train horns
glass front and rear
repaint the top
light bar
install bucket seats with custom removable aluminum seat bases
rock slider along the sides

Its going to be built to pre run and rock crawl for my race truck....\/


ill do a build thread on that truck as well later today.

 

went out to parker and did a desert bar and shea road run was efffin perfect weather and the truck did great! here are some pics.


went to havasu picked up my nephew from school and took him off roading first thing.


asked him if he wanted to make our own trail and he said yup! and this is what happens lol


2 new yokohama's and a day later we did our trip was awesome!

no real big updates i finally got my bearing kits and stuff so im working on getting the new seals and bearings in the rear end. What a pain in the ass this is lol. been working alot on the race truck im going to make a build thread shortly.

 

put some hid's in her. may be doing some real work on her soon but not 100% sure yet lol

I did my runner this weekend ball joint spacers, saw torsions, and i relocated the shock mounts to get more up travel and accommodate for the fox 2.0 6.5 smoothies!!

this is just a temporary set up until i get further along with the race truck of i find a used tc gen 2 kit feels pretty good but not 100% yet. stay tuned for what i have planed for the rear end!! its going ot be cool!

been working on this thing here and there mostly just trying to drive the wheels off it. i finally got the elocker rear end togther and under it and man is it nice having 4:88 its like a whole other truck. also built a little light bar bumper for my 40" light bar fewo ther odds and ends things. just got back from king of the hammers so now this thing id getting 3 linked and devered and lots more in the up coming months hopfully stay tunned!!!!

this is a nice hanlding set up for cheap gives you 1.5-3" of lift depending one torsion bar set up

no updates yet for the race truck been crazy busy with work and other projects doing a back half and 4 link on a buddys tacoma which is almost done and then ill be starting on the 4 runner straight axle swap.
