Hey quick question.. I bought some 17" TRD wheels to go on my reg cab. It has the 16" steel wheels on it now. Will the TPMS out of the stocker wheels work on the 17"? This may be a stupid question. But I need to know if I need to save up for some if they won't work.

I don't know how you didn't get an answer but there's a couple of methods to this, ask discount tire to do a 180 degree rotate or tpms straps inside the tires.

we're in the same boat. I put on the 17" FJ Cruiser wheels, without TPMS'. Left the 16"s with the TMPS, and gonna put them on CL this weekend I guess.

Now I need to locate the 5 TPMS', was hoping to find them used. I think new it was $400, sound right?

Also, does anyone have the part# of the Toyota brand? I read aftermarket is tough to deal with.

    Stock for now
    toyota oem alloys are 20*
toyota steel style (non black) are 40*
you either use a rim band kit $50, build a tpms canister, a wheelbarrow tire, buy a rebuild kit from $toyota$
or pay for the tire shop to do the rebuild.
Some say you can ask the tire shop to turn the sensor 180 degrees.
alloys & styled steel rims do not mix even on the tundras. :(
