Yes, they are all 3" lifts / leveling kits. Yet I tend to notice my 05' sitting a hair lower in the back. A hair....I put an AAL in the back.

All the 6-lug shock breakages seem to happen at the thin neck near the bottom eyelet. The 5-lug front shock doesn't have the thin neck.

It would probably be really ghetto, but you could weld up some gussests around the weak points of a 6 lug shock and eliminate this bending / breaking issue. Of course if you were broke or didn't have big $$$ for expensive suspension. I wish I had the cash to do a mid travel on my 5 lug but I don't, that's why I created this thread.

I have a 3" rough country lift on my 6-lug. The ride is really bad, it squeaks when I get in or out of the truck. I didn't realize a spacer lift would make the ride bad. How much is a suspension lift?

Spacers are technically suspension lifts. The problem is that the stock shocks are not designed to handle the rebound from the stiffer preloaded spring, leading to the rough ride.

I'd look into some bilstein 5100s to lift the front. They are under $200

LED taillights, HID headlights, LED dome and lic plate lights. Red badges. 3" fat bobs spacer with AAL rear.
Now if I already purchased a 3" spacer lift w/ a rear AAL, would a set of Bilstein 5100's make sense to purchase?

It would be a better choice, but you cannot run them in conjunction with the spacers.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
set to 0, but that would negate the perks of the 5100s themselves.

Some of you guys sound like you know what you're talkin about. Looking at the ReadyLift or FBG lift and I want to keep the ride shmoove. If I replace stock shocks with a longer Bilstein HD in front and back will it keep things comfy? I'm kinda "suspension ignorant" so I'm not sure, but it LOOKS like the front shock sits inside a coil. Will a longer front shock without changing the coil do anything?

What do I add to a ReadyLift or FBG kit to keep ride quality?

What does the $1000 OME kit do that's so much better/ is it worth $700 more than RL or FBG?

    Thanks guys,I value your opinions...
