Best clear coat?

Just bought some silver eyelids from a member, I am gonna have to sand them down and repaint them, what do you guys recommend is the best clear coat for superwhite?

 

That's tough man... Most spray-can clear (that I've ever used) has a yellow-ish finish to it, which will definitely make your eyelids look more yellow than you want. I'd suggest just taking them into a body shop, and having them put some clear on there for ya. Shouldn't cost more than the can of clear you were gonna buy, anyway.

 

yeah I kinda figured, I tried a couple different cans of clear coat and they all have that yellowish tint, I heard dupli color has a clear coat that comes with some kind of rim painting package that works.

 

The key is to get a rattle-can clear that isn't urethane based. I don't even know if one exists... But the urethane-based clears are the ones that yellow when dry (and more over time). Body shop clear is a a combination of clear/hardener/reducer which results in a tougher product, with no yellowing.
