I have seen various people talk about how the japanese government is bailing toyota out. So I did a quick google search and this was the best article I found.

American govt bailouts arent really bailouts. Its like a loan shark giving you money then making extreme demands to take your shit when you cant pay it back all at once. This is the focus of the american bailouts.

I cannot see the Japanese govt moving towards a socialist style of govt as is happening in the US. I wouldnt be suprised to see that the money being lended to toyota and others has really been loaned ( forced upon them) from some american bank to the japanese banks to be handed out. Then the current socialist party can exercise some control over them.

I would suspect Toyota corp is still strong financially. Just not where they were a few years ago. But then again with the world economy suffering who is in great shape nowadays unless you are from Columbia.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
One thing is Toyota corp is structured very differently than the American auto makers.
They believe that the worker is the key to business. And take very good care of them. they do not over pay, And reward executives for, well just being executives.
