You won't even allow passengers in your truck? Or shall we just assume if you won't allow passengers in your truck you've probably already alienated your friends anyway?

In my case, I let my F-in-law drive my '07 BMW 530i once. I was in the car, and his driving scared the SH!T out of me! Even my wife was shocked I let him drive it. Only kept the BMW for a year, but will not let him drive any car ever again.

However, in my dad's case I would let him borrow any car I owned without thinking twice. When I owned my '08 Sequoia, I had no problem letting him take it and our kids out to dinner..... of course my wife and I were going out to dinner elsewhere, so we used his Tacoma.

What a POS, you should have taken the forklift and smashed his car then give him "I'm not paying for it because you brought it to work" :D

I love my truck as much as the next guy. However, I would let him borrow it. In the end, it's just a material possession and he is family. Personally, I bought a truck to use it. I don't mind one bit helping out someone who was foolish enough not to buy a Tacoma :D.

I can recognize the flipside to that though. It's an investment and you're going to sink a lot of money into it.

Sooner or later, something big or small will happen to the truck and the honeymoon will be over.

problem with that kind of thinking though is...it may land you in court for malicious intent.

yes, the co worker was a douche rocket for not manning up and replacing the radio, but it was most likely an accident...even if "He wasn't paying attention"

however, hard to convince a judge that smashing your co workers car with a forklift in retaliation was an accident.

personally, I'd rather walk away the bigger man with the $200 loss, than end up in court...and a possible much larger financial loss. not to mention the loss in time and hassle.

be wise & be safe out there.
