Damn it. Boss just called, we're up and running in our building. Looks like I'm working this weekend. Don't worry I'll still be at Flex. But I looks like I need to get crackin' on that honey do list today.

I am officially off for a month! I decided to mow the lawn... I will not go 3 weeks without mowing the back lawn again. It took me 3 trips around it to get it down to a decent level.

I was trying to get the lines out from my old decals. I got them down a bit, but I think I need a more course rubbing compound :(. Might have to use some sand paper of some sort. I would really like to start working on all the scratches I have around her...

I don't know if you can or not.... can't hurt to try!
and x2 on where are you going to get it aligned?

I just finished with the second coat of wax. My arms are feeling it. Tomorrow I will have to scrub the interior... and I need to find some tire coating to make them treadwrites shine up a little

ahhh, just cover 'em up with multiple coats of wax

I got work to do on the rig tomorrow...inside and out.

Troy, I would recommend that you scrub the Hell outta the sidewall with a stiff bristle brush and some simple green, dawn, or bleech white, something of the like. Then reach for something like this,
    [IMG]
    Or this
    [IMG]

I find the important thing is to get the rubber really clean, than a light layer, wiping off the excess. Works especially well on new tires, treadwrights too. Kinda depends on how good a job/how far they buffed down your side walls. Mine looked pretty good, only had one person say, anything and he's a 40+ year tire man

    groovy!
    Thanks Jarod

normally I don't mess with tire shine but these tires just look bad for some reason.

i've used the armor all tire shine gel you posted. it was very shiny. almost too much for me. but also a very deep black. i'd like to find a product that produces that same extreme deep black without so much shine.

I don't either...I find it attracts dirt and makes it more difficult to scrub the oily mess off the tires next time around. I normally just scrub em till they are clean (you'll know, tw's I had to REALLY scrub) and they look as good or better than most with unkempt 'dressed' rubber

Edit, I scrub tires/wheels every wash

If you buff it back off with a clean cloth, micro fibre, it will bring down the shine and reduce sling off. Turtle wax is better in both departments though. Both products require more work than a simple wipe and go, as they don't tend to spread into nooks and crannies, you gotta wipe that shit where you want it, then get the excess of or sling it all over your fresh wash...

Read; more trouble than worth, most of the time. (i still do it though...gotta crawl town east in style :D)

Edit, if you buff it back off...make sure your cloth is lint free, or you get to start all over. Ask me how I know.

i have problems getting the product between the sidewall treads. and after i painstakingly am able to get the product between the sidewall treads, i can't get the excess goop out. sometimes a spray seems to work better. but they all seem to sling on the side of the truck (some more than others). maybe i should get extra skinny tires so the sling only gets inside the fenderwells.

I still need to mess with the tires. I think I will do that tomorrow. I don't have a ton of stuff to do at the moment. Just need to go get some chain link fence posts and another wood post (dog broke one yesterday). She went for a squirrel and it just broke. And I still have the inside to do. Didn't even bother with it today.
