I've been trying to get back into reading as I stopped after high school. I always enjoyed it, just couldn't get myself to do it outside of school. I bought two books that I read while still in school and plan on re reading them to get into reading consistently.

    The Good Earth
    Where the Red Fern Grows

I also just bought End War, and plan on hitting that one once I finish the other two. Hopefully I can stay focused and get through these. I tend to spend a few days flying through chapters, then I stop and spend months with out reading.

    neglect, mostly.
per my father's suggestion ive been reading "how to win friends and influence people" by dale carnegie. a fantastic book about human psychology. pretty easy read and just extremely interesting all together. . . and fyi, im not reading it because i lack social skills or what not, it's just a book ive always been told was really good, and turns out, it is. and it was written in 1936, so there are some neat historical aspects about it too.

Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden- American and later UN forces go into a town to kidnap Farrah Aidid the local terrorist unprepared and a Black Hawk chopper goes down the attempts to rescue Mike Durant, and others that were shot down or injured in some way, leading up to 2 Medal of Honors given. Great book decent movie.

Tuesdays with Morrie. Guy's old professor is dying of Lou Gehrig's disease he recounts what happened in the past between them and himself after graduation.

Long Grey Line by Rick Atkinson-Hard to keep up with at points but still good, recounts the events of West Point class of 1966 from freshman year to the Vietnam War.

A few more that I'll post up later.
