Finally getting myself headed in a direction I can be excited about.

I applied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Mountain State University and Marshall Community and Technical college as they all offered similar programs in Culinary Arts. After touring all three schools and looking at a lot of different aspects of each I decided on AI Pittsburgh.

The Art Institute is about double the cost of the other two choices.. But after seeing their building, meeting some of their teachers, and eating at the restaurant the students work in for a quarter, I see why it costs so much.

The building is amazing, Culinary has it's own floor with so many different kitchens all filled with amazing equipment. They keep the place spotless, and I've never seen so many beautiful women in one building in my life..

I've always wanted to own my own restaurant. In fact since I finally started pondering the idea of actually going to culinary school I've decided one day I'm going to own many different restaurants, all different and all delicious. Needless to say I'm excited.

I just got my acceptance letter to AI two weeks backs, and I'm going up to Pittsburgh Wednesday to take my placement testing. I could go on and on about this school. :D

Any chefs on here? Anyone have any friends/family who went to culinary school? I know there will always be a huge job market once I get out.

Oh, and I'll be getting my AS in Culinary Arts, then attending another two
years to get my BS in Culinary Management.

My knowledge is limited, but for anyone else thinking about going to culinary school, I could help out a bit, so questions are welcome too!
