    Replaced my Steering Rack bushings...I liked to never got the old bushings out but putting the new ones in was quite easy...

    Considering the entire steering rack moved over an inch to the left and right when turning the steering wheel, Oh yeah! Every time I hit a bump, the steering wheel would jerk left or right depending on how I hit the bump. Now the steering is much more solid and no play...

    If I remember correctly, the bushings only cost me $20 (shipping inclusive) from Energy Suspension Parts.com

    Here are the pics.

    The car...pretty sure the whole front end is toast. the headlight lens was sitting on my bumper (below the license plate) and the scuff on my bumper was probably from the center of her grill surround (the hood latch would have been there and it sticks out the furthest). The whitepaint on the side isn't from my truck - must have been something else she hit :rolleyes:

    I'd put some kind of stop/protection on the cab side of that whip.

    I used to have a similar spring on the bumper of my old Bronco and if it snagged on a tree branch, it would come flying back into the body/topper of the truck. After 8 years of wheeling, it left a mark.
