2012 Tacoma Question

Do they have Timing Belts or Timing Chains? Thanks.

 

chain, take off your oil fill cap and look down it with a light, they make more noise than a belt

chains have their issues, but at least youll never have to worry about replacing it.

 

oh, you replace chains to, just not as often....ask any hot rodder

 

obviously you will have to replace the whole engine if you drive it long enough, but most of us will never have to replace the timing chain
