but similar in style to the poll choices...

    ProComp 8069-6883
    ^ 16 X 8 @ 4" BS'ing + correct offset/center chunk, brake caliper clearance for tacoma
^ ( allows for the tundra brake upgrade/swap)

    * these are the same wheels that Wheeler's had special ordered thru ProComp
to specifically fit the '97.5 thru '04 Tacomas

    * they are now available direct thru ProComp...
and Wheeler's has discontinued offering them for sale.

    * ( would seem, ProComp wanted a piece of the market that Wheeler's originally held)

Mine are sporting 295/75/16 Hankook RT03's

forget the bling chrome center caps...
and if ya don't like the gloss... some fine steel wool should minimize that effect

    No, it's not...
The 8069-6883's were designed by ProComp
at request by Wheeler's off road...
specifically for the '97,5 - '04 Tacoma models

to offer the correct offset and center chunk design
that clears the brake caliper(s) correctly due to it's
slightly exaggerated center chunk disc shaping.

Unfortunately... the 8069's only are available in gloss black.

i like the Classic Lock in black... the black wheel gives the truck a rugged, beater kind of look, but the bolts break it up nicely...

4" backspace works great with 285-75-16 on a first gen, but 3.625" gives it a nice mean stance too...

with the 3.625" backspace, if you have stock sidesteps, you might have some rub on turns and articulation like turning into a driveway, but it's not too bad...

if you have your front caster moved 2 degrees forward, you can clear...

Didn't Fuel just come out with a bullet hole style like these that's pretty sharp? I voted classic locks but I run the classic II. The black looks slick with the locks on it, but mine as chrome.

Sounds like a good deal. I think that's what I got mine for from pss.

Another difference between the Classic Locks and Pro Comps is that the lug nuts sit inside the rim vs. the PC's that have them exposed on the outside. On these rims, they look mean mounted on the outside vs. hidden.
