Audio/Subs - Large practical system

I would like to have 2 12’’ subs or one nice 15. I could not find a practical way to have a set up like this. I still want to fit 3 people in the back if necessary with the least amount of hassles. In the past my systems have taken up 1 to 2 seats permanently.

I looked into placing 8 or 10ich subs under or behind the seats in the back. (one 12 if I am lucky) as shown in other threads. My problem is that for the money spent I don’t a tone of money and not the get performance I want.

I think I found a perfect solution to this problem!

Ill post photos of the installation later in the week when I do it. For now this is what im thinking, the single back seat on the drive side folds down and gives you a nice about of room. I thinking of placing a one 15 or my old 2 12” alpines in that spot. Today I tried to fit a box with 2 12” subs there and it fit like a glove. This way when I need the extra space I it will take Max 5 minutes with a little screw driver to restore back to normal. (toss the subs in my box – get my seat back)

 

Not sure where you live, but I always hide as much as possible. Sitting a sub box on top of the folded up seat, I think that's what you are saying, is just asking for some unwanted attention from the lower ranks of society. Your call though, I would seriously consider a Supercrewsound double sub box for behind the seats, then fill it with the subs of your choice.

Where I live, I’m more worried about hitting a dear then getting a system stolen. Although it is one concern, I make sure to always lock it up. Sometimes ill put a blanket over top just to be save if I’m parked some where sketchy or over night.

The Supercrewsound double sub box for behind the seats is a good option. My old subs lucky fits great.

you would be surprised the power you can pack behind the seats, there is a guy on here name sun and he is also an audiotech at bestbuy he has two cvr 10s behind his seats with a hifonics amp and it hits really hard. The performance from his subs is quite incredible and he still has full function of his seats. Im not even a kicker fan and his shit is awesome

 

If you have a double cab, check out the JL audio 13.5 inch pancake subs, they are awesome, I have one behind my seat and you can fit 2 of them back there (i have seen it....LOUD). they are great, and no one can see them.

A nice high power 10" sub will do more than enough for most people. I've had plenty of stereos in the past, in excess of 145 db on one.... my little ten is enough to piss off people on the road, though at some times I am tempted to get a second one.
