    So your GF's mom has a crack habit and needs some cash for a fix? I don't get that whole disappointment thing. If she wants specific gifts, she just ask for it or get it herself. Otherwise she should STFU and be glad people bother period. And I don't get the "I want this" thing.

    I usually go full on for dinner for my mom. Chill the wine, fire up the grill, spend some $$$ on some prime cuts. It's a good time for all.
