Yes they are based out of Italy. The Fucked up part is that when we noticed the China move the QC of some lines started to drop. That's why we picked up focal.

I've been shopping those Focal's as well and came to the same question I think you have now, which is what do I put in back? Has anyone tried slimline subs? Or am I better off with some 2 way 6.5's?

Is there an amp that everyone likes? I am new to the game sorry for the threadjack.

Just pick up an entry or mid level coax speaker for the rear. Rear speakers aren't THAT important, since the soundstage is up front.

IPhones are made in China... a lot of stuff people love are made in China. Where something is manufactured is fairly irrelevant.

Yes and no.. it does matter to some people. I phones or Apple in general has a good Quality Assurance/ Quality control department which is why their Chinese products are of good quality. In the car audio realm its a very different story. Few companies pay the money to have a good QC department. My amps right now were built in Korea and Korean amps have had a better track record. My speakers were hand built in Germany. Not all Chinese stuff is crap but most is. Read what I said about the failure rate of hertz after we found out about the outsource to the PRC. QC fell off a lot. Some of Focals line is made in China but we have not had a single problem yet. I'm not downing all Chinese made products but you can't compare iPhones to everything made in China.

I've got a middle of the road set up in my truck, couple of 8inch subs in a box behind the rear seat, and a 6 1/2 component system in the front doors, coaxials in the rear doors. Mine shit "sounds" way better without the rears even hooked up. Just saying...

I guess I'm Bossin' :D. Got some Hertz Hi Energys a few months back. They truly are the best. Couldn't praise them more. I feel like they could take more power than I can throw at them.

You bumped a 2 year old thread to say you're "bossin" even though you have speakers that are a full step down from the ones mentioned? Awesome.
