DOOR CHIME DRIVING ME NUTS!! HELP ME BEFORE I SNAP

    08 DC SB SR5 TRD OFF ROAD
    Guys,

    I just bought my first Tacoma ('08 Double Cab) and the door chime is driving me nuts.

    I open the door, no key in the ignition, lights off, there is a "beep" "beep" noise that does not stop when the door is open.

    Why does Toyota needs to remind me the door is open?

    How can I disable this?

    That's what I would say. Mine comes on and goes off with the key.As long as it's not in the ignition no chime.
