Unless I was listening to the radio, it automatically connects to BT and either starts Pandora or random music on my iPhone. I never bothered with satellite radio.

Maybe change your radio to FM presets, then connect your ipod? That way if it defaults to radio at least it wont be sattelite.

I really like the "deck". Unlike a lot of newer style decks this one actually has real twist style tuner and volume controls. Buttons and knobs can be pressed easily with gloves on or without having to look at them super closely while driving. The deck has all the good features, ie display with titles, USB, and it's easy to make changes to... there are no deep menu "trees" to go through.

Now the audio quality in my non-JBL = sucky. It needs new speakers for all its speakers, badly.

I do not have Entune - I have a great smart phone.

When I plug my iPhone into the usb port and scroll through songs it takes sometimes 5-10 seconds for the title to show up and while I'm waiting it starts playing the song that I'm on when i still want to listen to the song i was originally listening to. Really annoying. Has anyone else had this problem? or knows how to fix it?

I agree about the volumes lack of power. I have to have it turned way up to listen.

Much better than my 2007. Not sure if I have the JBL or not. Have to check. Still going to replace it though sometime.

First impressions 20 feet from the dealership was this stereo sucks! Anything over 75% volume distorts horribly. And to keep it from doing that the volume is so low, minaswell listen to music from a portable speaker hooked up to my phone. I'm goona get them replaced one time by toyota to see if its a difference, maybe there just blown. But most likely ill be upgrading all my speakers.

The head unit and overall experience is fine though, assuming it will have enough power to run aftermarket speakers. The bluetooth is great, that's all I use. Syncs with my phone as soon as I turn the key. Displays song name, artist etc. Fast forward and everything. Set for life with bluetooth support, down with wires!

    None yet.....
+1.....I could not find it either, and couldn't get the phone to push my contacts, so I saved them manually one at a time. Concerning the phone BT, one thing I love is you can save phone numbers as speed dials using the stereo preset buttons. Push the phone button, the preset, the phone button again, and it calls. NICE.

I am very happy with the HU, for the same reasons others have mentioned. And like others I feel I have to turn it up way too high. Can an amp be installed using the stock HU to make it more powerful?

Yeah I guess I could, it's been sitting in my cabinet since January. So I'm not using it.

I used the manual method to put in some numbers also and primarily use the speed dials to phone out but it would be nice to have names come up on the display

The factory head unit is fine, for an average consumer.
It processes the functions of am/fm/xm/cd/mp3/usb/aux well, and it's design is intuitive and easy to operatre. Steering wheel audio controls and phone operation is nice as well.

Volume and speakers, on the other hand, suck!
Fortunately, those can be cured while retaining a stock look.
JL has some nice options for those on the quest for big sound :)
