That is what I was thinking too. If she can keep the stock shocks it would keep her cost down which is important to her.

for strictly showing, the spacers would do just fine for her, and i think those were a little cheaper, but how long would they just be spacers for when she learns about off roading, and decides to play more?

Just make sure you know what's on the other side of the dune before you haul ass over it. Last time I went out there the backs of dunes all had steap switch backs. Other than that it's a fun place

Are you not going to gave any hint of where its going? I don't think its cobra but there is a company that makes a smaller external speaker I'd you want something smaller

I'm gonna install in the center storage console (in RED)

I hope the ext. speaker size won't be an issue (4.9 x 4.9 x 2.7 inches) but I'm sure I will find somewhere to mount it. If not, I can always return it for something else. Where did you mount yours? I couldn't tell from your picture, but it looked like it was under / to the left of the glove-box.

I think if you put it in the middle box there, it would vibrate like mad, plus closing the lid would kill the volume. Keeping the lid open would make the lid flop around (springs are OK, but not rigid!)

Mitch put his in the passenger footwell, and that looks like a really good spot. I haven't looked, but I'd imagine you can also mount it in a downfiring position near the fan motor, too.
Another position could be on the B-pillar, but that thing is going to be shouting right in your ear and I think it would be too close to the mic when you talk.

If that speaker is too big, I know radio shack has some cheap hobby cube speakers.

I would be mounting the CB in the console, not the speaker. I still have to look around for a good spot to mount the speaker.

    Gor it

Thats correct. I've got mine in the passenger foot well up at the top of the carpet. You have to look for it. But its perfect volume wise. Its smaller then yours though. I initially had it installed under the passenger seat. It was secured just because of its size and I could hear everyone clearly when we were at the dunes.

Not a bad location. Hidden but accessible
