Hey TW, I have been driving crappy $800 beaters my whole life, and I was recently looking into getting a small truck.. I first looked at Tacos, then moved over to Rangers since they were in my price range, but I saw this 07 SR5 with 40k miles on it and I had to test drive it.. I fell in love with Tacos, and went back looking for a Taco I could afford.. I ended up going back to the one I test drove, simply because it had extremely low miles, and it was listed at $16k.. It doesn't have 4wd which I am kind of sad about but I simply couldn't afford a 4wd taco at this point in my life, plus all the 4wds had a lot of miles and were priced at or higher than this one, but I took it on a trip to Iowa with my friends and all of their f150s had to lock 4 wheel in on the field roads, and I just crept through them barely spinning the tires. I love just about everything about my taco, and am going to buy another one later with 4 wheel drive when I am ready to upgrade. I shouldn't have an issue getting around with 2wd and the right tires and weight anyways. Getting about 22.6 mpg on my last 2 tanks of gas going to and from work and I got 26 on my iowa trip. I want to add fog lights, KNN air filter, hitch receiver, and a nice soft toneau cover in the near future... more mods maybe to come.. ANY welcome, 2wd bashing, or upgrade recommendations welcomed. :D I'll be lurking looking for a while looking for forum deals, and recommendations.

BTW I have been paintballing for years and I am very familiar with forums, just not automobile forums, so I may be a little slow at some of this, but it shouldn't take me long to catch on.

Here's my truck after hitting some field roads in Iowa. I already got new plates so no worries on showing my plates.

thanks for the welcome.. Got a few drop hitch receivers in the garage, and got a scratch and dent valley class lv hitch off of Amazon last night for my truck. ir was 64 bucks shipped, and claims to have all the mounting hardware. We'll see.. G8tor, you lucky dog.. Thats one thing I HATE, is how MN requires plates on front and back, and the fact that the dealer just screwed the plate into the bumper.. oh well.. I love look the black bumper gives your 08.

Just wanted to update this.. I produced a charity paintball game yesterday, the game raised $26,696 for Children's Hospital, but thats besides the point.. It rained all day and I used my truck to drive abound the paintball course up muddy hills and through good puddles to set up the game, clean up, and set simulated gold bars for the scenario. I spun the tires once in some good mud, but didnt get stuck and I had multiple people say wow, who needs 4wd watching me.. so I am pretty happy with this lil taco so far.
