I have a '12 and my blue tooth works great. I also love the back-up camera. You can literally back up to an object within an inch with great visibility through the screen. Wished all of my vehicles had it.

x2 If you're using the unit (incoming call ringing, talking to someone, etc.) the volume controls on the steering wheel are your friend :)

Bluetooth is awesome. I didn't even consider it when buying the truck. The salesman just happen to show it to us when we came to pick the truck up after the dealership finished cleaning it up. It is fantastic to be able to take calls and keep both hands on the steering wheel and I love being able to stream my music through the speakers. I wish my wife had it in her car. I am sure it would help her perform less curb checks when she drives...:p

Yes, you buy the whole surround. There are 2 brands, schoshe and metra (I think).
The metra came free with my stereo, but I liked the schoshe better. You can find them online for about $20.

I have a 2012 with the B audio system. The blue tooth is great. My iPhone connected the first time I set it up, and now all I have to do is get in the vehicle and its connected already. The music app on my iPhone is immediately accessible from the audio system. If I have any issues it is that I have to set up a phone book in the audio system rather than access my contacts on my phone. No real big hassel, once its set up.

The BT works fairly well. The microphone picks up sounds clearly. As people have mentioned, when somebody calls the ringing is very loud. If you turn down the ringing, you end up turning up the volume during the call. Also, the BT hasn't paired well with every phone I've had. It worked fine with Palm and Windows phones. I've only had 1 Android phone (HTC Hero) but it never seemed to work properly. I had no problems pairing the phone, but if I used the phone to dial there was just a long enough delay between clicking "call" and the phone establishing the dial that the stereo dropped the connection. The phone actually got replaced with a new one after damage but even the new phone had the same behavior. It wasn't a huge deal because I had a separate BT speaker so I didn't spend too much time trying to figure it out. I don't have the Android any more and have no doubt other Android phones would work just fine for everybody else.

I've worked in IT for over 10 years so I have troubleshooting experience.

I have no social life so never use the bluetooth capability. Like the JBL though.

Just bought my new 2012 double cab on Thursday (this is my 3rd Toyota truck, traded in a 2005 double cab for this one), and I'm very impressed with both the BT and the backup camera.

Bluetooth was easy to set up with my HTC Thunderbolt (Android), and I was streaming music effortlessly in minutes. I'll definitely get a lot of use out of that and and the phone answering feature.

Regarding the backup camera, I actually found it a little distracting at first, since it comes on in the rear view mirror, it was kinda confusing trying to both check my surroundings as I normally do and use the cam. I practiced with it though, and it does make parking in tight places a lot easier...and I'm sure that as I continue to use it, I'll get more used to it. If you really don't like it, however, there is an option to simply turn it off.

Never used it. Probably never will. I never use my phone much when out and when I do, I use the handset. The only electronics I use in the car are a GPS unit and my IPOD. The latter stays permanenetly connected to the USP port. I have an Ipod Classic with 70 GIG of music and audiobooks on it I use for my vehicle and an Ipod touch I use for around home, at the gym, etc..
