Zombie Preparedness FJ and Taco

So hello everyone.

My wife and I are proud owners of a 2012 FJ(4WD A-trac, locking rear diff) and a 2012 Tacoma(dual cab, 4WD TRD....Sport....because non-functional hood scoop > locking diff)

So I was wondering, our zombie plan is to use these 2 vehicles to crawl back into the woods somewhere and disappear for a while, what else should I invest in specific to the vehicles(I.E. Off-road equipment, lift, armor etc)

As well as interior stuff?

Here is a list of what I have:

2 3-day bug out bags with: 22LR Pistol/Rifle and .45 Pistol/Rifle (Carried)
Cold Steel Kukri Machete (Carried)
Gerber LMF II knife (carried)
Multi-tool(carried)
Gerber Entrenching Tool(carried)
Gerber Gator II Axe(Carried)
2 person, lightweight tent(carried)

2 AR-15s(in vehicle)
1 Mossberg 590 12 gauge(in vehicle)
4 person Cabellas Alaskan Guide Tent(in vehicle)
1 Entrenching tool per vehicle(in vehicle)
2 Life-hammers per vehicle(in vehicle)

 

TRD Sports have a limited slip...not a locker.

Nice, yea that was a costly mistake for me when buying my truck. im told air lockers are the bees knees though so im not to worried, ill get one

 

welcome to TW! My TRD sport is pretty zombie resistant at the moment. You're right the AIR Locker is night & day when you're off pavement.

I would do terrible things to own that FJ..

 

doode, you're screwed when shtf because when the EMPs hit all vehicles will be dead anyways. Figuring out some way to fire up your vehicles after the EMP is step 1 to "crawling into the woods". You should just sell your brand new trucks and get something from the 70s that is carburated and has some sort of quick disconnect to the battery. O yea, lots and lots of guns and even more ammo. Then probably some nice hand to hand pieces such as a pulaski or parang. Don't forget the chemical warfare/bio suits...
